05 — Questions

Honest answers, in writing.

Because "the project" is a fiction we both have to maintain. A sprint has a fixed start, fixed end, fixed price, and fixed scope. If the work overflows, we have a conversation about a second sprint — never a budget discussion mid-build.

If we underestimated, we eat the cost — that overrun is on us. If the scope changed because you asked for something new, we book a follow-on sprint for the change. The sprint we agreed on always lands when it said it would.

We use boring tools. TypeScript, modern HTML/CSS, PostgreSQL, Stripe, Sanity or Storyblok, Vercel or Hetzner. We deliberately avoid the bleeding edge. Your team will be able to read the code in five years.

You do — fully, on receipt of final payment. The repository is in your GitHub organisation from day one, and you have admin rights. Studio internal libraries (utilities, our reset CSS, build scripts) are MIT-licensed and yours to keep.

Yes. The Stripe checkout is for convenience. For sprint-sized engagements (and all Code Care plans) we are happy to send a SEPA invoice with 14-day payment terms. Email billing@writecodeweb.com.

We are in Weißenthurm, between Koblenz and Andernach. We work for clients across the EU, the UK and Switzerland. For larger engagements we travel — most often to Berlin, Munich, and Zürich.

Both — we send a bilingual master service agreement (German/English side-by-side) by default, and you can sign on whichever side you prefer. Governing law is Germany.

German VAT (19%) is added at checkout for German customers. For B2B customers in other EU countries with a valid VAT-ID, the reverse-charge mechanism applies and no VAT is charged. For non-EU customers, no VAT is charged.
